Abstract

This article analyzes the practices and relationships displayed in the political meetings of the movement Alianza PAIS in the poor areas of Guayaquil city. This text examines the political meeting as a stage of total interaction and symbolic power where the political performance of the partisans and leaders acquire a specific signification. The empirical objects are the techniques of performance, the political activity and the relations of domination, which characterize the dynamics of the political organization and its work in the city.
