The development of Political Science in Argentina: thematic agendas and new challenges

This paper analyses the history and development of Political Science in Argentina from the study of its main actors, basic academic production, creating institutions and building partnerships and networks. These aspects are studied in relation to political and social problems for which the country has experienced, determining different thematic agendas over time, which was forming “models” of Political Science. The emphasis in the period beginning in the eighties by the democratic process which sustained growth and diversification of the disciplinary field is recorded.
